Our Purpose as a Non-Profit
Hockey is an incredible sport, and the cost of ice hockey gear shouldn‘t keep anyone from playing.
At The Hockey Exchange, we believe that the joy and excitement of hockey should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial limitations. Our mission is to help players of all ages and skill levels get on the ice by providing affordable, gently used hockey equipment. By collecting and exchanging quality gear, we’re removing barriers to participation in this amazing sport. Whether you're here to find equipment, donate your own, or simply support our cause, we’re thrilled to have you join our community. Together, we can make hockey a game for everyone!

How It Works
1. Donate your gear!
Drop off your gently used hockey gear on exchange days at TGH Ice Plex or Power Pole Arena. We accept donations of all sizes and types of gear, helping to ensure every player can find what they need.
2. Gear Collection
Our team collects the donated equipment from our contacts at designated rinks, where we begin the process of preparing it for it’s new owners.
3. Sanitizing The Equipment
All donations are carefully cleaned and sanitized to ensure safety and quality. We make sure the gear is in great condition and ready for use by its next player.
4. Storefront Event at Lightning Made Training Center
On the announced date which will be communicated in advance, we will set up a pop-up storefront at The Lightning Made Training Center. This is your opportunity to bring in your old gear and then exchange it for gently used hockey gear of the next size up.
